I can see right off that the mount is different. Looks like bolt on. Mine has the old spring clips that use the "U" shaped tool to remove radio.

Wasn't sure if it might have been the right one.
Good luck!

Check this out : https://www.1factoryradio.com/reman-...-fm-cd-player/ That is for my exact part number radio. Note the jack installed in the "repeat" button. I would be willing to go that route if I don't find some other way.[/QUOTE]

Well, I was ready to go this route but when I contacted them I was informed that they no longer would work on my model of radio because of too many problems in the past with bad cores. I told them that mine was in perfect condition but to no avail. I guess I am left with the only choice of installing an after market stereo.

I think in the end you'll be better served and potentially more contented with that choice. Even though I'm a techo-dinosaur I use Sony stuff from Crutchfield and love the versatility such products offer.

FWIW I'm using a Sony MEX-GS620BT head unit, at $168 its quite a nice device.

HTH

Here's another option, Modify your unit yourself. YouTube has a few videos that could help with this option. I have no links at this time.
If you find the output signals of the CD player, you could install a switch to select between CD and Auxiliary input. 1FactoryRadio maybe able to help you locate said signals and or even give directions of their mod being that they no longer do it.
I have also wanted this feature with my 2007 E350 and have looked into this mod but have not yet done the work.

2008 E350 Radio aux input converter

I know you said you don’t want a new aftermarket unit, but there’s a good chance you could find something that will work for you. Kenwood and others still make stereos with actual volume knobs, for example. Give Crutchfield a call and tell them exactly what features you want. If anything comes close they will probably know about it. Their phone advisors are amazing.

Your van will take most double-DIN units, and they are really easy to install.

I don't mean to discourage DIY modifications but honestly this is just too much work for very little benefit. It also requires a bit of electronic servicing that many just don't have and/or aren't properly equipped to perform.

Absolutely true! Their search engine has filters where you can specify features you're seeking and results pop up. Their phone advisers are indeed great so its a win-win experience from my experience.

My Sony units were bought because they have the volume knob---something I "need".

I checked out a few of these videos and don't really care for the result. Thanks for the suggestion.
