While the wires coming from the existing pretensioner weren't helpful given both wires had same coloring, I realized the wiring I picked up from the scrap yard had differentiated wires -- yellow/red and yellow/black. So used that to make an educated guess for which was red vs black on the existing pretensioner.

So, I cut off the connector from the pretensioner, marked the wire I believed was red and stripped both wires. Then tested the pretensioner with ohm-meter and got 2.7 ohms (which, per YouTube videos suggests it's good).

Then I took the "correct" connected that I got from the scrap yard to the connector on the van's side and then stripped the two wires coming off the end of that and temporarily twisted together the four wires. Turned on the ignition, and ... air bag warning light stayed off! Woohoo!

I'll now go back and connect (solder or butt splice) the four wires and I think I'm good.

Thanks for all the help.
