I have one installed and use it religiously. Once you get in the habit you don't even think about. I have the plug to the left of the steering wheel and below the lower dash so it hangs down. If you do it there be sure to have it clear of the parking brake travel and your foot has room to operate the P.B. Mine is just barely. If I had to do it over I'd have it put in the dash but that does complicate removing that panel as the install tech said. Pricy but worth it the peace of mind.
