Back up camera ideas?

I apologize if this has been discussed a lot before, but i couldn't find much on it by doing a search. I'm wondering what brands/prices/vendors you guys have used? Which cameras are the best and about what should i pay?
I bought one on Ebay a few years back for a Class C RV, and it was crap, probably $100 or so and not worth $10
I have had great luck in a work vehicle with a SafetyVision brand, but it used a BIG old school monitor mounted up high (it was in a Sprinter so there was room for it up above the rear view mirror in the center, but no such room in my E350).
Any ideas welcome. I don't want to buy a new head unit with a reverse camera in it, just a reverse camera only.

Re: Back up camera ideas?

I've briefly looked at setups like this. You replace your rearview mirror with one that incorporates a monitor into the glass, where the monitor is only active when the vehicle is in reverse, otherwise its a standard mirror. Not a big screen size by any means, but a nice, clean install. I have not looked at it in person, nor have I looked at any online reviews.

one particular site that has one for sale;

Take a look at this post: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6640&p=57752#p57752

It describes my camera setup. I'm still happy with it though the front camera doesn't always stay connected even though it is taped together and shrink wrapped. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I haven't but i'm thinking about it. There is some info floating around on how to do different things. Apple's unwillingness to let just anyone in to their 'app' world will probably be a holdup. I love Mac, i'm an all Mac house, but i hate not being able to do all of the cool things Android will let you do.
