Back up camera view reversed?
Anyone with a backup camera is your view reversed? So when I have a tree in the left rear (according to mirror and looking out the window) in the camera view it is on the right.
That doesn't seem quite right to me.
Thanks,
Keith

You need a "Mirror" image camera or yours may have a switch for normal/mirror image.
Some monitors for back up cameras also can mirror the image

I suspect when SMB installed it the mirror switch was not switched.
This was a new install for them where the display is actually in the rear view mirror.
I'll have them look at it Wednesday when I'm there.
Thanks!
Keith

I need to find out what you have becuase I need one that is not mirrored. The local audio electronics place is convinced that facing the camera forward makes it a straight image and I can't convince them otherwise (although I stopped short of diagrams).

Jage,
Look for one of my other posts on this. I had this very problem. As you may recall I have a front and rear camera. The front camera was originally the same camera as the rear and it was therfore reversed. Since my Alpine headunit does not allow switiching the image I had to get a different camera. The front facing camera is a Crimestopper. The rear is a Pioneer. The pioneer is mutch better clarity and color. If you can't find my post with the model number, PM me and I will try to find out for you.

SMB installed a new camera. The problem was the camera I had auto-corrected. The display I had (inside the rear view mirror) also auto-corrected. That meant it corrected the correction and I ended up with mirrored image - hey, it is already too complicated for me.
The new camera into the rear view mirror display, solved the problem.
Regards,
Keith
