Battery

I have a '91 model Sportsmobile coachon a Dodge chasis. I want to incorporate a 45w solar array. All electronics are located under the coach/pullout bed behind the driver seat. For the life of me, I can't see how to remove the battery from this area. It's within a plastic box with a removable lid but there doesn't appear enough room between the top of the lid and the metal frame of the couch backto remove same. Any clues? If possible please respond to:
ricklamparzyk@cox.net

Thanks very much

Re: Battery

It would be great if you could respond in the thread, or at least copy your response- could help others in the future.

You can set the forum to email you when there is a reply. Ask in the forum help section if you don't know how to do this.

You can also post photos here, which might help people understand the issue.

Re: Battery

Ops, sorry. I just told him my '03 Dodge works by sliding the lower part of the couch all the way across the isle for full access to the battery box.

Re: Battery

SMB West installed a different gaucho couch in the 2010 models. For access beneath this one you need to unscrew wing nuts, secured to a bolt at the aisle edge underside on each end of the couch. The seat will pull up while the back rest stays put and then you have to park the seat somewhere out of the way...
