Battery bank question

Is it suitable to have a single battery bank with multiple batteries wired in parallel, but not necessarily right next to each other? For my instance, 4 grouped together, and about 6 feet away, 2 more.
All the same type, age, health, suitable wire size, etc.
Agm batteries in this case.

There's no reason that wont work, as long as the cables are adequately sized. The two battery posts you use ( + and -) to run to the loads should be on different batteries, that's to say, the first battery gets one connection and the last battery gets the second connection to your loads.

Agreed, size the cables properly and you are good. I did this in my Transit for weight distribution and because it worked well to put each battery in front of each rear wheel well. These were 6v golf cart batteries wired in series for a 200ah bank. Worked great!

Thanks for the confirmation.
Arctic, good tip on the cable location.

Appreciate the input.
