Beware Antigravity batteries

I bought an XP-10 in the spring, and I discovered it failed shortly thereafter.

No problem, I thought; has a warranty. I returned it at the end of October. Here it is early December and still nothing. I see that others are starting (or not starting...heh) to have issues with them. So check your batteries if you have one of these, and if it's dead try to get a refund from the vendor or someone besides Antigravity.

Thanks. I've been wanting to get one of the larger models. A buddy told me that he's seen several fail. Mine is one of the first runs made (smaller model) and is still working well. Maybe I'll wait to see if they get the bugs worked out.

Gee, that's a bummer. I bought an XP-1 at Expo Flagstaff right from their booth, and they seemed like stand-up folks. A failing product is one thing, but no response is another.

I don't feel quite so good about mine now...

I had heard a lot of stories about microstarts that would swell up so big that they split the cases... and AG would not honor the warranty saying that it was purchased through an "unauthorized" vendor and may be a knockoff.

I ordered an XP1 microstart directly through AG in hopes that it has better quality than a $40 Amazon special, and if the time comes, they might honor their warranty. I'm not relying on it to start a vehicle, more just so my wife can charge her laptop, kindle, cell phone, etc.

I've been using an AntiGravity battery in my motorcycle for a few years now and it continues to do its job.

Glad to report that after I contacted them again they sent a completely new battery kit. Whew. It's charging now (arrived at 11.8v).
