Makes sense. Did you read up on the ACR's cutoff points?? Because that certainly will tell you when you have a dead battery or in your case, a very bad connections.

12.8 is a healthy battery.

Does 14.8 from the alternator sound a little high to anyone else?

I am glad you are up and running. That is a interesting failure mode, I will have to put that in the memory bank. You will now probably find that you are getting more charge from your alternator to your house battery.

I suspect that the limited current , caused by the corrosive connection resulted in the magnetic latch rod to get hung up, giving you the failure code you were reporting.

Yes, I have the specs. And it's 14.28 at the battery under the hood.

And this morning it took 15 minutes to get the van started... ugh!
Appears the frame mounted battery is very weak because of this mess. Time to get to interstate batteries and hope they will warranty it.

Good thing I have the 7622 to give the extra juice to crank it over.
