I agree it can be data overload, but it is just like monitoring other gauges on your vehicle, if something doesn't look like normal you can investigate. Besides did I say that I strain (need my readers) to read those small multi function display monitors.
I also spent my last 38 years working on computers of some sort, the last twenty I was a test engineer so data collection was part of the job.
Might as well add this here also, by the way in PNW it was not a great solar day.
Since my Morningstar Tristar controller has a Ethernet port, I also wrote a program to capture it's data. It uses a modbus protocol. I am currently working on interfacing with my Magnum Inverter/Charger.
