Cell Booster Recommendations??

We’re using our van enough and working remotely frequently enough that we’re looking to get a cell booster for our van.

We don’t stream videos or send huge files.....we just need reliable LTE to get work done.

Anyone have something they recommend before I buy whatever Weboost product seems best?

BB

I have the weboost drive reach. I have not used it much but it does work. Just recently we were out in the Idaho panhandle with no service. I plugged in the weboost and had 1 bar, was able to make a phone call. When I unplugged the weboost.. no more service. I just had the antenna on the dash not on the roof which probably does not help.

I would recommend getting the bigger outside antenna for actual computer work, do not get the tiny one that looks like a dorsal fin, I have the tiny one but you will get much better results with what your trying to do with the bigger antenna.

Cell Booster Recommendations??

Have an bit older weboost that works pretty well, in fact I’m using it right now, looks like the drive x or the drive reach is the way to go these days. I had to order an extension cable from them for the van that I think they sent for free, to get enough separation between the antennas so there wasn’t interference, also consider upgrading the external antenna than what comes with the kit for better results.

We have several ways to boost cellular performance when in remote areas. We have a weBoost X/4GX booster with a built in Omni directional antenna mounted on the roof of our van. We find it is very useful in areas that have a weak cell signal. We connect one of our cellphones to the weBoost and use it as a hotspot for other devices. The Opensignal app is helpful locate cell towers in isolated regions. It allows us to park the rig with a clearer “view” of the signal. If we require a stronger signal for streaming or music, we have a MiFi jetpack. It has two ports that we can attach mini magnet anntenae or our Netgear MIMO antenna to enhance signal performance. These options allow internet for the entire van including our “outdoor patio.” The Mobile Internet Resource Center is a good site to look at options with descriptions and reviews for many devices. https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/gea...ular-boosters/.
I hope this is helpful.
