I have the same problem. . My horn and cruise won't work. I'd love to know how to fix it

Did you ever get this fixed? Mine is doing the same thing. No horn or cruise! I have read that it might be the clock spring but that usually has a air bag light on as well and mine doesn’t.

Typically when the horn AND VSC stop working at the same time its the clockspring. You can/should check the horn relay and horn itself for proper operation before just replacing the clockspring itself.

Spend the money for a Ford part rather than an off-brand discount house grab-it-and-go part. Those don't go bad too often so that's a comfort.

You don't show any dash lights related to the SRS do you? That's aka the air bag system. Usually if one of the air bags is disconnected or fails or isn't visible to the PCM you'll get an alert of some type.

HTH

Sorry for the delayed response, just got back in town and had time to work on it. I pulled the airbag and the clock spring was disconnected. I reconnected it and and now my cruise and horn works but it’s odd because now with the engine running when either door is opened, the odometer goes off. Shut the door and it comes back on. No alerts or anything. I am going to disconnect it again to see if this was just a coincidence and something I didn’t notice before. I just bought it so I may have missed it but I don’t think so.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm assuming you have a 2005 or later E-Series van?

I do, it’s a 2015. I cleaned the grounds today and all is well now. Bad grounds will cause odd issues for sure.

My CC quit the other day so i jumped the switch on the master cylinder and no change....watched You Tube video on changing the steering wheel switches and it seemed easy enough but I don't know what I don't know and chickened out on removing the air bag. Ford Dealer charged me $165 parts and labor.
