Felix, Leblanc's rig and yours are the only ones I've ever seen with a big canister solenoid mounted outdoors on the frame rail like that. What's yours for? On RVs they are commonly used to tie house and starter batteries together for emergency starting. What's weird about this to me is that SMB has historically used an isolator under the hood for this.

Just curious, sorry for the threadjack but maybe it will help Leblanc too.

Sorry for posting this on two threads.

It does appear that the circuit breaker is for the compressor.

And the breaker likely mounts through these holes in the frame next to the solenoid.

I'm assuming your are referring to the small silver can just to the right of the breaker for the compressor - if so, that's the compressor relay.

Yes, they are often called solenoids by RV folks. I just haven't seen one on an SMB.

Just wanted to report that it was in fact the circuit breaker for the compressor. I got a new 80A from ExtremeAire and installed. Good to go.
