Yes, I am intimidated. I doubt I will be posting pictures when I am done now I have seen this.

Viva, glad Scalff77 or Greg helped you. He was a big help posting the pdf of the isolator manual, thank you. I am glad to have that. I can't take anything apart right now because I am one phone call away from having to drive up to Beaverton. Greg you got your ears on?

Your always welcome to stop in. I will PM you my information.

I have a current meter, so we can measure your alternator outputs, I am still a little worried about your starter being drained.

Viva,
your workmanship is impeccable, very nice.

Me too. If I go with #2 wire from the isolator to the house battery I will feel better about moving the inverter to the house battery.

It is such strange logic when reducing capital costs rather than operating costs. You have to force yourself to say if I kill it, oh well, it was old anyways and not that expensive.

Re: Does alternator know how many amps to send to the Batter

I am taking on a new challenge which doesn't require taking anything apart. I have the airbag light on. I see Viva posted on this subject before. Here is my question in a new topic:

Re: Does alternator know how many amps to send to the Batter

The Contigo tool box did work as a battery box. I drilled a couple of holes and I am ready for a second battery.

So the wire from the isolator is #8 and not 10, but still.
