Exterior night light bulb replacement

Hey Forum members. I have a 2008 Ford E350 SMB and my outside nightlight locates on the passenger side has a burned out bulb. I have been to several retail outlets and have had no luck finding a replacement bulb. If any one has had to replace this light bulb please let me know where you purchased a replacement bulb at. Thank you so much.

You'll have to post a pic of the model of light and/or the bulb. SMB might have a LED replacement...call them if you haven't had any luck replacing it.

Mine was a standard auto bulb, like an 1156 or something. Have you pulled it out to check what’s stamped on it? As an aside, I replaced mine with an LED bulb along with the rest of the inside bulbs.

Amazon replacement

I switched to this (see below), It was a direct replacement and I am happy with it.

Right now it costs about $7

Camco 54600 1003/1093 Bright White Light LED Bulb with White Swivel Housing

Would the intensity of this bulb be suitable for the interior lights that take the 1156 bulbs?

wahoo,

I would say no. The Camo is made to be a porch light, mounted against a wall. It is flat and projects out of one side.

For interior 1156 lights I used:

(1) 6 pk 1156/1141 Base LED Replacement Bulb 250 LUM 10-24v Warm White 25009V (total 6 bulbs)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...LIQ5L2GL&psc=1

Those worked out really well for the interior. The right brightness low heat and low power draw.

For interior lights I think you would be much happier with these made by Green value. I am.

I got tired of the outside light on my van...it blinded me every time I approached the van, so what was the point? dunno about new vans, but in 2001 they put them pretty high. Not to mention such a light is very annoying to others camped nearby.

So I just got some LED puck lights with magnets and use those down low, pointed at the ground, more like nice not-in-your-face landscaping lights. And the night sky advocates now like me
