Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
How about an update? Did a new battery solve the problem? Did you modify the charging system?

Seems the first battery was just crappy... Put new battery in and there's no draw when nothing is on, everything appears to be working fine.

Re: Fight: Water Pump vs. Battery
Finally got around to putting the new 'good' battery in.. I had swapped for a regular lead acid 4D, and waited for the warranty AGM to show up.. Also wanted to make sure I wasn't having any issues with the system before I put new expensive battery in.
So now I should be good to go. Now, what to do with a spare 4D.. Hmmm.

Rally: I was looking over your beautiful block diagram and noticed that you are using an Intellipower 9100 series charger. Are you also using the optional charge wizard? Without the charge wizard, the charger is dumb charger. Why the smarts are optional for these is beyond me.......

rallypanam: I hope Bee is looking at your drawing. Wasn't he looking for a turn-key Wiring Diagram? Only thing missing in your free time is to add wire gauges to the runs on your drawing...

No. However it's (eventually) being replaced by the Tripplite RV1512 I have sitting in my garage. If I'd stop starting other projects I might get that in there one of these days.

I have great plans for the drawing.. I want to add specific gauges, fuses sizes and holders, connections, etc. And then label where they are (i.e. under couch, on passenger frame rail, etc).

Was the old battery connected to shore power (the intellipower charger) for extended periods?

Nope. I rarely charge on shore power, and if so its only for a couple hours.
