If you are doing this for a house battery bank -

Having gone down the path using two stock battery boxes for house battery mounting, it is far easier to just make a battery tray(s) from angle. Those boxes will not accept a Group 31 (105+Ah) and pretty much only a Grp 65 (65 Ah).

If for some other reason, of course, then proceed as prudent.

They will also fit a group 27 (94ah). I would recommend caution in 2 aspects:

1) in where you place them - I have two just under the side barn doors and the exhaust causes them to heat up when in city traffic or traveling slowly on mountain roads. I believe this is why my batteries quickly lost capacity while traveling in the Atacama.

2) they are a pain in the rear to lower from the rail for any troubleshooting. Again, discovered this in a campground in the Atacama.
