Front Rack Lights HID's or 5000's

Just wanted to get your opinions. I have room for 3 light on the front of my Auminess roof rack. Should I install 3 HID's on top or will Hella 5000's (Cornering or Euros) do. Are 3 HID's overkill? Thanks guys!

Re: Front Rack Lights HID's or 5000's

The very few times I've actually used my 3 Hella HIDs, I wasn't that impressed. A decent amount of light, but let's just say that I'm glad they came with the SMB I bought because I would have hated to spend that kind of money.

For about the same money, I'd rather buy some of the new high performance LED light bars.

I think you can get away with 4 HID Go-Lights if you are in Texas......

Re: Front Rack Lights HID's or 5000's

I'm thinking strongly about a couple of Go-Lights mounted toward the middle of the top. At least they can be pointed down or backwards so you don't have to cover them like standard fixed forward lights.
