Go Light - Stryker Installed

What a day for an electrical installation. On and off rain all day but it didnt stop me. I was set on getting this sucker installed today. Bought it from Cabelas 2 weeks ago. Sorry for the lack of pictures. I forget to take step by step pictures no matter what project im doing. Plus the rain didnt help.
I mounted the light on just in front of the PH. Overall very easy install.
Measure twice, drill once. Found the center and traced the holes.
They supply 3 self tapping screws.

I siliconed the holes too, just in case.
Once you get the bracket on, you need to drill a 1/4 in hole in the center where the wires will lead inside. My positioning was perfect as the wires ended up exactly where my CB is mounted.

Sorry no pics.

The light itself.

Mounted

Wireless remote

And a video of the light in action

Garage
Tell us how you wired it to the van's 12v system, and the fuse and connection.

Nice, and you got to do a leak test at the same time. How efficient of you.

cool video.

Did you have to remove the headliner or the "CB shelf" above the visors to get to the wires?

Stryker Lights

Steve ,
Very clean installation and I know that you will find this Go Light very useful . And remember that you will be able to convert to an HID Bulb
as soon as MagLight gets caught up with their backorders . Have you figured out where you will keep your remote control as the little buggers seem to grow leg's ,I have already had to replace one of mine so I have mounted it on the Driver's Seat Faring with heavy duty Gray Velcro and it is secure and very handy .I took some photographs for you this A.M. that are in my gallery .

Nope, didnt have to remove the headliner. Ill pull out the CB later and you could clearly see where the wires come out of. I used a 1/4 inch drill bit and it went straight through the headliner. It was tricky to get the wires through the 1/4" hole. I used a coat hanger and fished them through.

Is it as loud as it sounds on the video?

Yea, its pretty loud. Inside the van too. I kinda expected it. I mean its motorized and the roof isnt all that thick. Doesnt bother me much.

Why not go with the suction cup model? You could use it front or rear or side or under the van, you can use it on another vehicle or boat. And you can keep it if you sell the van.
