Hello,
I have a e350 sportsmobile from 1993 with 250k miles.
I have electrical problems: my voltage gauge (on my dashboard is sometimes flickering) and it sounds like my 2 rear "house" batteries are not charging anymore, finally my invertor died. I tried to test my batteries and isolator and nothing looked wrong.
Could you suggest a person or a shop in San Diego that could help me troubleshoot/fix the problem.
Do you have a multimeter? Can you check just the van battery itself for voltage when the engine is off? and when on? ie is the alternator generating any power? Is that what you mean by "tried to test"?

when engine is running:
van battery is 14.77 (12.7 when engine off)
isolator post right is 15.23
isolator post middle is 15.85
isolator post left is 15.03
house battery 1 is 11.87 (2.6v when engine off!!)
house battery2 is 11.86
Does it sound like the isolator is functional or are the voltages on each side post supposed to be lower?
There is generally a circuit breaker between the isolator and the house batteries.
Not sure about the 2.6 measurement "(2.6v when engine off!!)" I would expect that the house batteries are not changing with engine on and off. Voltage on the isolator looks good. There does not appear to be continuity between isolator and house batteries. The circuit breaker is generally pretty close to the isolator.

The circuit breaker is in the last photo you posted (right hand side), cable comes from isolator to circuit breaker, circuit breaker back to house batteries.
