Re: Honda 2000 generator solution?

My Honda 2000 fits in the Aluminess galley box. I surround it with heavy-duty foam and I put a couple of vents in the sides of the box, as well.

Re: Honda 2000 generator solution?

no gas smell with the Honda, i've stored one all kinds of places. Turn the vent off, no smell. The case hardly even heats up when running, so no heat. The thing is super quiet, so no noise. I don't get how it does what it does. It's like a pocket full of kryptonite. I'm intrigued.
FYI, i'll be posting some pics of this mod when i do it. My van is on-road only so it might not work for off-roading, but i'm gonna bolt my Honda to a small angle iron frame on a front receiver hitch. I haven't seen anyone do this, but i'd love to see some pics if anyone ever has. I'm thinking it will essentially look like a big winch up there and can be used when the van is running or parked, since it will be stuck out front where exhaust and noise won't be right by the back door which is opened and closed occasionally while parked.

Thanks, Jason.
I store mine in an externally accessed compartment under the sink. I cawould be worried about soring it internally without securing it as in the event of an accident it would be a very powerful missile!
