House 12 volt LED lighting question.

I replaced florescent fixtures with these LEDs https://d114hh0cykhyb0.cloudfront.ne...TSL_manual.pdf.

Power savings is great, the one problem is if I turn on another fixture, or plug something into another 12 volt outlets these new fixtures intermittently turn themself on. Another problem is that one of the lights that turns on is in the penthouse, and near impossible to reach with top down.

Suggestions?

PS returns are not well received by Superbright.

Thanks,
Beejmac

Hey Beejmac,

I saw the switch on the lights are capacitive touch...essentially an analog switch controlled by touch capacitance voltage. Guessing that you are having some voltage spikes on your system when turning on other light fixtures that turn on the other fixures. Complicated fix would be to measure the spike and add a diode in series rated for the voltage. Easier solution would be to replace the capacitive touch switch with a rocker or push button switch.

Replace the capacitive touch switch with this.

I love the remote and dimming features.

Another thing you could try is improving the grounding on the ground side of the system..Play with clip leads to the vehicle body nearer to the lights or on that circuit. This may solve the spike problem. Take a good look at your circuit grounding connections as well.

In layman's terms. Led's can run on the tiniest amout of power. If your switch doesn't cut power a 100% the LED's will light up.
