Re: How to get a penny out of the CD player?!

Slip a five spot in there and ask for change, like at the car wash. Should get that darn penny out pretty quick.

If you can afford a Sportsmobile, I penny here or there really shouldn't make a difference....

The only thing I can think of is to try one of those high powered vacuums at the carwash, or the coin-op ones at the self-serve spray wash and some gas stations. Block off the rest of the CD slot the best you can with your hands or a towel and see if that won't pull the penny out. An unbent paper clip may be a good "digging tool" to help dislodge it.

I've done it. My then 1.5 year old turned my single disc changer to a 6 disc cd changer. I have an 04 and there are 4 holes. You need to stick something fairly solid in the holes and it slides out. (snicker). I used an 8p nail. It was easy after that.

Re: How to get a penny out of the CD player?!

Thanks everyone! Just to follow up, I finally went to Napa and picked up some 'DIN tools,' aka Ford factory stereo removal tools (two u-shaped pieces of metal). Stick them in, angled slightly outwards at the tips, until they click, then push out on the curved ends to compress the stereo clips. Stereo slides out easily, no need to remove dash trim. The penny came out after much coaxing and prodding

The lighter/accessory socket was just a fuse, #26 if I recall correctly.
