How to kill 12v before fuse block

Basic question I should know by now but don't- How do I kill the connection from the house battery to the fuse box so I can work on the fuse box or other systems past it (like the frig) without danger?

I traced an intermittent loss of power to the Norcold frig to a lose connection of the 15amp fuse in the fuse block. I'd like to see if I can just simply crimp something to fix the problem, or replace the fuse block if I need to. It's not obvious to me how to do this.

At least on my build there is a 40 amp breaker that feeds the fuse block. But I also have a standoff lug where the fuse block taps off of. You could pull that jumper off (provided you have that lug) to kill the fuse block.

Make sure the house and ignition batteries are separated and lift the house battery ground.
I installed a 100A Blue Sea breaker between my house battery and fuse block so I didn't have to lift the ground lead when I wanted to work on the electrical system.

This battery isolator enables me to switch the ignition battery out of the circuit.
