In Dash Nav Backup Stereo June 2022
Crutchfield would be my go to recommendation as well. They will provide any necessary wiring harness and install instructions with purchase and they have excellent live customer support if needed along the way.
I’d also highly consider upgrading your speakers while you’re at it, even though you don’t consider yourself an audiophile, the stock speakers are crap and most likely have rotted out. You really don’t have to spend a ton on decent direct replacements that will not sound like garbage when you do want to listen to music, podcast, or take a phone call.
I’d also recommend Kenwood, Alpine or Pioneer, although it looks like a good number of units are out of stock at the moment.
Along with CarPlay, BT, camera inputs, another consideration is picking a unit that has a physical volume knob vs. having 2 tiny little +/- buttons, much easier to adjust while driving, although they’re getting harder to find.
You’ll want to consider getting a unit with built in nav, it does add to the cost, but nice to have for sure when you’re out in the middle of nowhere with no service, I mostly use downloaded maps through Gaia for that, but there are times I’ve relied on or referenced my built in nav.
There’s some value priced units like the Boss units that might give you what you need, I just don’t know the quality, I might end up trying one out as a budget option in my project van.
Edit: I will take a look and see if I can find a unit through Crutchfield I can link for you.
