Re: Installing Factory Keypad

You can buy the keypads from Ford here: http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/...7L2Z_14A626_BA

According to other postings elsewhere in the forum, the keypad will work on older models as long as your van came with remote keyless entry because all it does is send the same signal to the van that your remote fob does.

Think this is the same keypad, but I didn't compare part numbers. No affiliation.

eBay auction with over three days to go, and current bid is !9.99 with free shipping.

Re: Installing Factory Keypad

Still not sure on mine, thought the batteries were shot, but after further testing I think if you enter the wrong password, you have to wait several minutes before re-entering your password or it locks you out. Either that or mine is flackey. If I enter the password correct the first time I seem to get in pronto.

Re: Installing Factory Keypad

It also does not work if the van is running, so if you lock your keys inside with the engine running, you are escrued, so to speak. I have confirmed this with both the keypad and with the standard keyfob (and one of those 'confirmations' was more of an unwelcome 'discovery', fortunately local). You will need a key in the lock to get back in with the engine running.

Re: Installing Factory Keypad

Bumping this up - has anyone had luck doing this with an older van (1993) that came with factory keyless entry? Is the process the same?

Mine works with the van running. It's nice when you hop out take a jog around and realize you forgot to pop the other doors.
