Jumpstart or attach trickle charger location, 2006 E350, 6.0

Dumb question maybe but I can't find an accessible location to trickle charge or jump batteries. I think the batteries are underneath by the side doors and inaccessible and there appears to be a battery connection of some sort under the hood that is also inaccessible. Anyone know how to access either? Any other info about charging or jumping is appreciated as well. Tried to attach a pic but site won't let me. Thanks

Merry Christmas (despite your predicament) the start battery is on the front passenger side. Not sure why you cant see it but I'm not familiar with the 6.0.

If you want to trickle charge you can do that through the dash cigarette lighter as long as it is powered then it is connected to the battery (engine off of course).

See if there’s a post under the van next to the batteries.

Garage
my 2006 (6.0) has the positive post connection located just behind the second battery (between the second battery & passenger rear tire).

Your batteries on that van are located under the side barn doors mounted on the frame. There should be a post for jumping/charging to the rear side of the rear battery. Mine had a red cover on it but pull the cover for a positive connection and then ground to the frame. Dual batteries for that diesel would not fit under the hood.

Mine has the post behind the second battery (in front of the passenger rear tire) that everyone else mentioned. It also has an Anderson connector poking out under the front passenger door, and a pair of jumper cables for that.

If you're talking about the (+) terminal on the fuse box here, I'm pretty sure it's not meant for jumping. Seems like a good way to burn down your van.

If it is standard sportsmobile there should be a blue sea or other (sure power) battery solenoid switch/isolator that joins the starter and house batts when the voltage goes above 13.5 or so volts. It is shown in your manual as a cartoon. Manuals are posted on this forum, but it would be a good idea to get near the isolator. Absent of that if you charge the starter battery when the voltage goes up the solenoid should kick in. This is a general description but if you provide some details of the rig, we could get more specific....
Scalf77 has posted lots of very good info on this https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...0-a-26493.html

I used this post to locate mine. As stated, I found it under the barn doors, passengers side between the rear battery and the rear tire. There's a red plastic cover for the positive connection. I also have a 2006 Sportsmobile 6.0 L
