Kisae SWXFR1220 Inverter question

I recently installed a Kisae SWXFR1220 inverter in our van. When testing, I was surprised to note that under full load the battery voltage reported on the inverter's display dropped to a value ~0.5 volts less than the voltage measured simultaneously at the inverter's input terminals with a Fluke DVM. This results in the inverter triggering it's low input voltage alarm when the actual input voltage is still ~0.5 volts above the alarm threshold.

No doubt some voltage loss due to internal resistance in the inverter is to be expected, but I am surprised that it is this much. The Kisae technical support person I have communicated with tells me that this is normal behavior for this product. I'm wondering it anyone on this forum has one of these units and has observed the same behavior.
