I'm sure it will trickle down one of these days and I can't wait.

Re: More batteries

They are available here in the US. Expensive initially but lower cost over long lifetime. Definitely lighter.

Re: More batteries

If you're serious about LiFeP04 batteries, look at http://www.electriccarpartscompany.com. I was able to get 12 volts, 390 amp hours, for about 1600. (8 times 195 amp hour 3 volt batteries). I will use a 400 amp alternator-to battery charger (Sterling: http://sterling-power-usa.com/12volt400 ... arger.aspx), fron the Sprinter 250 amp alternator. I'm also using Sterling's 2500 watt inverter/charger http://sterling-power-usa.com/Procombi- ... 20vac.aspx.

Cool....do you have a thread going for this? Looks very interesting. The Sterling inverter looks to be the same as the Promariner stuff.

Are you planning on using the Combi inverter to charge the LiFeP04 batteries? I see that the sterling alternator box has a LiFePo4 setting, but the inverter does not.......

Re: More batteries

I have hecked w/ the Sterling people, as well as the people @ the Electric Car Parts Company- apparently the AGM 2 setting on the inverter/charger is the same profile as the Lithium batteries need.
