More on inverter specs
And that's the issue. None of the users of these items are equipped to test anything. Without a lab its impractical and inaccurate to mount any test. So just like tires which we buy on a whim as well, the information to determine the suitability of the application is absolutely accurate and completely useless. Who knows if that Inverter is really capable of 2000W and with Overboost, 4000W. And who knows if the battery is being killed by the cycle or its a minor discharge (as in say 20 amps for 20 seconds) before the generator is self sustaining. All I know is that it works the way vacuum windscreen wipers operated in the 50s: the more you need it the less effective the output!
I upgraded my alternator too and I have a passenger van conversion so my Danhard operates independently from the second/rear a/c. Great plus in the summer.
