My solar Panels are Delaminating

My van (19 yrs old)has it's original monocrystaline panel and it works great. It is sort of small compared to other panels I've seen on the forum (panel envy?), but handles our needs for fridge, fan, and lights. I always thought I'd like a little bigger panel = more power.

Jage put up a thread with a test on function-while-shaded which demo'd his panel basically shutting down with a hat-sized area shaded IIRC. Mine seems to decline in performance ~1:1.

When I replace, I'll do my best to disregard cost and go back with mono.

Considering I spent about $1800 for my original two flexible panels (might have included install in that cost), looking at under $300 for more power in new panels seems damn near exciting. I wonder if the wiring SMB did uses the MC4 connectors and the harness will plug into two new panels for one output. I am pretty good with electrical tape, too.

Well when you put it that way I'm pretty excited that I'm just getting in to the solar game.
