New house battery not powering 12v

Glad you're back on the road. If the battery or battery cable is compromised and makes contact to the frame, it can cause some hefty damage. It happened to me. Knocked out my alternator, inverter and burned up a number of other things. Why your separator was outside is strange and generally points to a homebrew job but doesn't point to the cause. The main thing is SMB got things back in order for you.

SMB left the separator where it was, but at least the rest is as it should be.
