O2 7.3 diesel 2nd battery cable length

Hello Group,

Does anyone know the length of the battery cable that runs from the battery under the hood to the battery under the passenger door?

Thanks!

The positive battery to battery cable should be 12 feet long.

Unless I'm completely clueless about the location of the referenced battery and considering the typical E-Series is just over 19' bumper-to-bumper a 12' cable does seem a bit long.

this listing says 85" which sounds about right. Positive terminal from battery mounted in engine compartment, down to and along the frame to the second frame mounted battery under the barn doors.

I measured the replacement cable from a new set I’m going to install from custombatterycables.com and it’s 12’. https://www.custombatterycables.com/...troke-diesels/

The Custom Battery cables result in a pretty significant loop on the frame. Here is the Custom Battery cables and the stock cables for comparison. Definitely not 5' worth of difference though so I'm not sure where the discrepancy is.

Would the "extra" length be to accommodate lowering the battery while leaving it connected?
