Hey SMB community, I am looking to install 2 sweet off road light in the holes of my Aluminess front bumper. What kind do you recommend and where to purchase them. Thanks Joe
Million variations out there that will probably satisfy your needs, comes down to what you want to spend...I've been using PIAA's for years and never had an issue (even had my aluminess mounted fog's under water for about 20 minutes driving through high water). They use less wattage & AMP's (one of the main reasons I chose them) and produce results.
I've used a pair of older Lightforce XGT's converted to HID, they're a bit bright, and wouldn't fit in the Aluminess bumper.
Compare the light output to the amps/watts used, and don't forget to look at price. An offbrand curved LED light bar (50"-double row) has 30,000 lumens at 480 watts, and the baja designs OnX6+ LED light bar (50"-single row) with 40,000 lumens at 346 watts...big difference. Also big price difference!

I’d like to stay around $300.00 for two round fog lights that will mount in the holes on the Aluminess bumper. Im going for style as much as performance and prefer the yellow lenses and lens guards. My application is mainly for mountain blizzards with white out conditions. I’d like them to be DOD approved. Way to go with the great information so thank you very much.

If that is what you're looking for then I second the PIAA fogs. I've been happy with them as well and they are reasonably priced, quality units. I'm speaking of the halogen ones by the way.

So far I found these on amazon and am curious if any one uses this brand and also I liked the Piaa lights but am not sure what I’m getting for the extra money?

I have Hella 700 lights on the front of my van, and Hella 500 on my Jeep. But mine aren't the LED versions. I've been happy with mine. I run them quite often in traffic. Adjusted low they don't seem to bother anyone.
