Re: Outside thermometer?

I use all three: wired, wireless, and Scanguage. Mostly cuz I had them laying around.

I think the wireless ones are crap; I've gone through too many. All fail after a while. A cheap wired one is better, and pretty easy to run into the van. The Scanguage is nice but obviously doesn't work in camp. And it give you all kinds of other temps; I especially use it for transmission temp.

Re: Outside thermometer?

Thanks Rob. I also look for a wired one but don't manage to find one yet since I'm travelling and then have no address to buy one online. Walmart or Lowes only have wireless ones with large sending units... I'll continue to look for, if possible one with min/max temps...

Re: Outside thermometer?

Saw a small wires one in an O'Rileys auto parts store yesterday. I assume other auto parts stores would have them as well.
