Pikes Peak hill climb record broken by a electric car

Not sure if this is the place to post this. I thought it was pretty cool.
What does it have to do with sportsmobile vans you ask, @ the 3:19 mark the car goes past a red/orange one.

Man I sure wouldn’t want to listen to that siren all the up that hill. Seems like it would distract from the task at hand. Badass though. Thing was scootin along thats for sure.

What they don't tell you though is that the car can't make it back down the hill on it's own power, because there isn't a supercharger at the top.

If I ever get an all electric vehicle, it's going to get the sound of the Jetson's space car. Much cooler than a siren.

I've been invited to crew on a rear engine V8 open wheel car at Pike's Peak a couple times, but just couldn't get away for the week long commitment. The team retired after 2019, sadly I'll probably never get up there...

I didn't expect all that smoke from an electric vehicle, but it's tire smoke no doubt. They probably used an entire set on that run.
