Having just done this (I went from FLA to AGM) I would recommend sticking with AGM's, with the money you save over lithium (still a savings, although not as extreme a price difference as it used to be) I'd go through the rest of your systems and make sure you have everything to keep those new batteries happy. I.E. programmable chargers, programmable solar controller etc so you can set everything to the exact voltages recommended by the manufacturer.

As noted above lots of folks say float of 13.6 is fine for AGM's, mine specifically state 13.2 - 13.4 so I needed a charge controller that I could put custom float settings in to keep those batteries as happy as possible.

How long do you plan on keeping the van? How much additional maintenance will the van need in the next year? What power related issues did you have with your existing set-up? How much does cost effect your decision? Since you describe yourself as not tech savie do you have a "good", knowledgeable, experienced shop that can work on the electrics? I'd consider those questions as much, or more, than battery chemistry.

Let's see, you got 10 yrs out of the current batteries. It doesn't sound like you are complaining or in need of an upgrade. I would replace with the exact same batteries.

If you want to upgrade or those direct batteries didn't meet your needs, then some of the suggestions are with considering, but if all is well, i would put the money you save towards gasoline.
