Propane Detector Questions

Hi All,
I bought my SMB new in 2012 (E-250).
The propane detector said to replace every 60 months. At 60 months I got the beep/light that said replace. I had that done. Now it's been another 60 months and again I am getting the beep/light that says replace. Since it was very expensive to have it done the first time, I thought I might try to do it this time although I'm not very mechanical. So, I have 2 questions:
1. My current replacement detector (I don't have the one originally installed by SMB-so I don't know what it said) says 90mA/12DC but the replacements I found to order say 40mA/12DV. Is that, OK?
2. How difficult is the replacement? Just unhook wires and reattach?

1. Yes that's OK. The replacements are just drawing a bit less power. In either case, it's a miniscule amount.
2. Yes just reattach + and - power wires to the new unit.

Only thing you might want to double check is the fit.. does the replacement have the same dimensions as the old one? If not, be sure the new one will fit (physically).
