Pulling Overhead Console

I am pulling out my overhead console to put a new CB in and deal with an electrical fubar by the PO (involves the fantastic fan).

What kind of nifty gadgets and other projects should I cram in to the overhead console while I'm there?

I recently searched (online) for a programmable touchpad that could control a wide variety of functions (via relays). My dream would be to removed all the switches that control the aux lights, high idle and air compressor and control them all by a touchpad.

So...long story short, find or design one of those, install it and let me know where you found it and how well it works.

If you're not that inspired, I recommend:
Aux light switches
Compressor switch
Locker switches (if you have them, or want them)
Winch power switch

I have seen this type of relay controller on home built aircraft. Here is an example:

There has also been talk of using this kind of system on boats. They may have a cheaper (and more flexibly designed) system.

The VP200 is close to what I'd like to see. To make it perfect, it would use the touch panel display of my in-dash JVC a/v unit, and it would be priced at about 1/20th the price of the VP200. They want $6500 for the VP200

I just stumbled across these touch screen circuit breakers. They are marketed to boats and RV's, and so might be cheaper than the aviation ones...
