Renogy 2000w inverter / Charger
I am having some problems and Renogy is not getting back to me. I am starting to not like them.
This is what I have a question with:
I have the 2000w inverter charger. For now, I have a power strip cord hard wired into the inverter while running a very small fridge. When I turn on the inverter, it runs fine and shows all signs in the LED screen that everything is running. Within a few minutes, the ringing alarm goes off and I get error code 04. I looked it up and error code 04 says that the battery volts are too low. I have 4 batteries in my battery bank and they are all reading 13v.
any suggestions.

Have you tried disconnecting the inverter from the system and letting it do a reboot when you reconnect it?

Check Low DC Cut Out Setting, default would be 10 volts. How long and what size are the wires from battery to inverter, check for loose connections, measure voltage at inverter, preferably when there is a load.

I am running 0 gauge wire. I have checked and nothing loose.
I have not checked voltage.

Was the 13V from each of the batteries with them disconnected from one another? One might be bad when you put a load on it.
What happens when you plug into shore power?
It’s on the other end of things, but maybe something going on with the power strip, checked those connections? Try wiring up a different or heavier rated one....

I am going to start testing options.
The 13v was from each. I am going to disconnect all batteries and try inverter one at a time.
After that I am going to see about hooking inverter to a completely separate battery.

So you need to rule out what the error code is telling you. First, I would expect if connected to 4 batteries, that all 4 batteries would be the same voltage. What size are the batteries, age? 13 volts is not the resting voltage of a battery. You need to measure when inverter is running at both battery bank and at the inverter input.
In general it seems your only running a refrigerator correct?, so the load should not be that high. Do you have your house batteries connected to vehicle alternator via a isolator or ACR? If so run the vehicle and make sure the batteries are connected. Generally if batteries are low and giving you a real low voltage event, this should pull the voltage up high enough not see that.
Can you change the low voltage cut out setting of the inverter? I would try a lot of things before I started swapping batteries.

I will do the best I can to answer the question.
1. 4 batteries are 12v sealed AGM batteries. They are nothing special. For now, they are what I have.
2. 13v is what I read with volt meter
3. When nothing is running off inverter and it is on. I put my volt meter into the power strip prongs and was reading 120v
4. I am only running the fridge
5. I do have a battery isolator
6. Funny thing, when we went on road trip and while the vehicle is running, the inverter had no problems.
7. I am going to see about the setting adjustment voltage in the inverter.

Because it seems not to have problems when the van is running, I would suspect your batteries. You need to measure at batteries and at the inverter when the inverter is in use. You can also measure with the van running at the inverter.
