Hmm, I bought my Scangauge to monitor tranny temp but it doesn't show up on mine. I have had it a few months so it's pretty new. Am I missing something, or do I need to change the settings on the gauge?

Tranny temp is part of the X-Gauge or Add-A-Gauge system. You need to program it in and then it will show up.

If your ScanGauge doesn't have this feature, it can be added for $25.

Check in your manual for instructions to add a gauge, you have to program in TXD, RXF, RXD, MTH, and NAM. It's not that difficult, and once done the gauge will be availble as a gauge.

For Ford Vans the Automatic Transmission fluid temp can be added as a XGuage and then added to the display. It is pretty easy, I did it at lunch one day. You can get the codes to create the XGuage of the scanguage website.

If you have a newer scangauge, then it can be programmed to monitor tranny temp. There should be instructions for doing this in your manual. It is not one of the standard pre-programmed functions.

I don't think the vehicle specific guages are found in the manual, but they can be found in a suplement on the scanguage website.

Here's a link to the XGauge Command. You can see in my picture above that I've programmed and displayed the transmission temp.
