Scan Guage mounting location - Ford

So what are the different locations that folks have mounted a scan guage in a Ford SMB ?

Are you happy with the location?

Any issues? Wiring issues?

Yes, we are looking for suggestions....

I put mine on top of the dash all the way to the left. I used some of the hook side of self stick velcro and stuck a couple of one inch pieces to the bottom of the gauge. It grabs hold of the carpet DashMat I have on the dash. If you don't have one of those you'd have to also stick the loop side of the velcro to the dash. Doesn't block the windshield and easy to remove.

I drilled a hole in the dash right above the 12 volt outlet. The cable connects through the Scan Gauge II back port. It held on to the dash with Velcro they supplied. It is pretty easy to see while driving. I can even cycle through some of the options with out taking my eyes off the road.

I just mounted mine on top of the steering column like this (with the included velcro):

The PRND21 indicator is slightly obscured, but otherwise it seems to be a great place.
