I use some 1.5 watt panels from Harbor Freight (#44768) that go on sale for $10. I've got six of 'em hooked up to trucks, bikes, and quads here in Baja and never have a problem starting a rig that's been sitting for 3-4 months. 1.5 watts is not much, but it keeps even my bigger batteries from discharging. Also, that size panel won't overcharge so a charge controller isn't needed.
