Mu suggestion is to use the standard foot for the Yakima Tracks, and fabricate a mount that will use it. (I think it is #6 or #7)
This means you dont have to modify the tracks, and gice you all kinds of flexibility on what you do above that foot.
Our two panels are mounted in this fashion and so far over 8k+ miles we have no issues. We will be sliding the panels further forward and adding a farring at some point.
