Specialty Concepts Solar Controller

Hello All:

This controller was in place when a bought my Sportsmobile, no panel however, I’d like to get it working again. When I changed out my starter batteries, I found wires attached to one battery. I’m assuming that this was for the panel? They terminated inside the penthouse top. Do I just slap on a new panel on the PH top? Looks as if I’m limited on the voltage/amps by looking at the manual.

Thanks

Mike

Unfortunately I'm not qualified to help on the wiring issue, but if you plan on putting a new panel on I would recommend adding these between the new panel and where it hooks to the wires that go through the Pop-Top to the Controller. that way you can plug in an auxiliary panel when you park in the shade. I have a 100ft cord that allows me to place a 160 watt suitcase panel in the sun. ***Just make sure you plug the cord to the "Y" connectors before you raise your roof - From experience i can share it's a real pain to reach once the top is up!

***the panels I ordered came with a detachable Controler that also has the option to attach to a car battery, and ports to plug stuff like cell phones / computers to

The + and - “battery” wires from your specialty concepts mark 22 solar controller terminated at your start battery under your hood or the start battery under the van below the passenger seat area?
