Stereo will not turn off

So just recently my Kenwood stereo quit shutting off when key is pulled and door gets opened. I physically have to power off my stereo. It will also turn on when I approach the vehicle with something running through my bluetooth on my cell phone. I also have a Clifford keyless entry/ alarm. It seems everything else operates as normal. I am mostly full time in my van and this has become a pain in the ass. Appreciate any knowledge out there.

Have you altered the wiring harness recently? I sounds like the constant on power and the switched power wires are crossed.

Our van has a switch that allows the radio to be used with the keys removed. You haven't flipped it on by accident?

Yes, SMB installed a toggle switch, depending on layout and location that read something like “radio- van/house or start/house” that switches the radio from being turned on with ignition (start) over to being turned on with the house battery when parked. Sounds like it’s switched over to run off your house battery. Ours was on the face under the sink on our RB-50

Is this switch you are talking about a factory switch?

I had the backup camera replaced but I am pretty sure they spliced into existing wire near the back of the van. I will call and ask if they did anything under the dash although I do not think so.

Now my seat belt warning chimes every 30 seconds even though the belt is engaged. Electrical problems are the worst.
