Suggestions for side LED flood light ideas please

I could use some help trying to select some lights. I have the wiring in place to mount a flood light on each side center of the vehicle up on the roof rack. The LED flood light would be used as a work light or for setting up/tearing down camp in the dark. They will be wired to the house batteries and separately switched. I already have a motion sensor light and the little puck light for casual use.

Thanks for any help.

I have bought numerous lights from this company, they have quite a selection and so far have held up really well. They do have a sale on 'wall washers' at the moment that would work well for your purpose.

I've got maxxima led work lights and love them.

I'm a big fan of Rigid's stuff. Not the cheapest, but very good, consistent output, selection of patterns, and small housings. A lot of other guys now have lights with similar output, but I'm not sure anyone can meet the same output in the size housings that Rigid makes.

Best prices I found are here:

I use the Rigid website (rigidindustries.com/) to look at the technical specs, then use the search function on the power-sports website to find the part there. There website is not very browsable for lighting for some reason, but the price is right and their customer service is excellent.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Tapatio, I read your thread and came upon this:

Quote:
They look well built but only time will tell. At $40 each it is worth the risk. Plenty bright for my needs.

LED lights require PWM (pulse-width modulation) dimmers in order to work correctly. I took the dimmer apart and only used the internals.
http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-Di ... pwm+dimmer
The wiring was run by SMB to the middle of each rack. There was no PWM installed. I'm not really interested in being able to dim them. From you comment it sounds like you only need a PWM for the dimming. Is that correct?

At $40 each that would be a good "risk". I do like the rigid stuff, but the buy in is kinda high.

You don't need a PWM, a simple toggle switch is all that's needed. The lights still work great but the "stainless" mounting hardware rusted so I replaced all the mounting nuts & bolts.
