Triplite 2000w Inverter Quits Charging
A couple weeks ago, I connected the shore power cord to my van and noticed that it wasn't charging the batteries. The week before, it worked with no problems. I called SMB Indy and we tried a few things over the phone, but it didn't help. Since I live in Indy, we just made an appointment to have them look at it the next week. It was still under warranty, and after messing with it for a while, they just swapped it out for no charge(great service). Lucky for us, but how many others have had a problem? Even when plugged into shore power, it wasn't sending the 120v to the outlets. But, when disconnected from shore power with the unit turned on to inverter, the outlets had power just fine.
Also, I remember someone else mentioning the fact that plugging the shore power into a GFCI at their house or at the campground caused the GFCI to trip. I have had the same problem and just have to make sure I connect it to a non GFCI outlet.
