The PNW is the epicenter of van theft and frankly property theft in general. Eastern PNW is better I’m sure but anywhere close to I5 should be concerned.

SilverCloud Tracker by Land Air Sea systems, another GPS unit. Initial cost is ~$40, small very well made with battery backup. While at home on my driveway with a visible camera pointing at it.

I'm liking the idea of a removable transfer case lever while parked in neutral. I may have to fabricate one, thanks for the idea...................

I’m trying it right now as I eat in somewhere SC on the way to Overland East. It did want to roll 6” or so then stopped, chocked the wheel anyway.

RFID Anti Start
This is my thought of a DIY Ravelco type system. We substitute the CPC connector with RFID controller. You get in the van and the RFID key fob allows access.
I don't really have a need for this, but if there was an interest I could probably puts something together for testing purposes.

I'm lovin' this idea.....roughly how much is RFID controller?
The RFID controller would be an always on parasitic load.....?? Likely wakes up every so many ms and burns ma...hopefully.
Could also do NFC....lay your phone on a pad to enable starter.....similar idea.

The RFID controller is cheap $10 -12 , plus shipping. Sure, the controller would always be on, could probably add a switch to the power, to disable for long periods, which would actually just add a security level.
