Here is what I have. Like others, just one part. I don’t hear much about GM vans being stolen. My van does have a chipped key.

I am seriously considering the DiskLok. Seems to avoid the problem of cutting the steering wheel to get past the club.

Not inexpensive, somewhat cumbersome, and I have some concerns about 1) the lever actually running into something to block wheel turning. 2) Along with 1, there seems to be a design flaw that lets you steer the wheel by grabbing from behind.
I think the lever will hit the door or maybe A-pillar. Looks like it would be a pretty effective deterrent though. I hope to avoid a broken window to begin with.
Any other ideas on how this could be defeated?

There are some great ideas here, keep them coming. As for using the club when it MIGHT be needed, I would say all devices should be used pretty much everywhere, every time. I just don't think it's possible to predict what places are less likely to to be theft prone. Certainly, some places are obvious problems, but its still possible to loose the van when or where you least expect it.

If you aren't paranoid yet, watch this. Save time and skip forward to about the 8-minute mark.

Damn, that took what, 90 seconds? It looked like a pretty safe place too, I hope they caught that scum bag and his girlfriend, he is pretty recognizable.

What you say is true, one can’t predict, one can loose a van where least expected, and as shown, vans are being stolen from in front of homes.
On the other hand, I may be naive, but I believe geography matters and likewise the threat matters along with vulnerability. If we had the threat you do in the west, it would be different and I would use these devices all the time.
Seems the GM vans are less prone to theft and as mentioned have chipped keys unlike the E-series.
That said, I do plan to do some additional electrical/electronic measure all the time.

I counted to 15 from the time he entered to the time it was basically gone!
I wonder what he had in his little white hanky. Also, very curious how he got in the passenger side. The van was locked and you can see him hit the locks before going around to the driver’s side. Maybe that passenger side lock actuator had failed and it was actually unlocked?

Lol that is the funniest thing I'll read all day. Thanks for that. Small town politics works for everyone right? Having just read an article about the district attorney in GeorgiaI think you can expect law and order but you have to understand they don't have time to prosecute all crimes or criminals...like that one guy who asked them to find 12,000 more votes...in other words politicians can be criminals also but they don't often go to jail.
